You will be directed to the next page. See diagram. Fig.02. Here you will select your passport type from the drop down menu and choose Standard Passport. The page will automatically refresh and gives an option to choose processing country (This mean the country you are currently applying from).
The main Application form page is divided in 7 parts:
- General Information: This consist of your major information which are your names, date and place of birth.
- Permanent Address: This refers your address in Nigeria irrespective of where you currently are while soliciting for the passport.
- Contact Information: Here you have to fill in your current contact details Like phone number (optional), your email address and current residence address.
- Other Information: Here you are required of additional information, like Maiden name (the maiden name is an option only for married women who now bear their husband name as their last name. In this case their real father’s name is their maiden name). Then state of origin (The state you originated from), Nationality, Hometown (The town or village you came from in your state of origin), name, relationship status and contact of next of kin. (next of kin is the some one most closely related by blood, he/she can be your brother, sister, son, mother etc.)
- Personal Information: This has to do with your Marital status (click on the drop down menu to choose), colour of hair and eyes, Then finally your height which you must enter in centimetre (cm). As most of us knows our height by feet (ft). 5 ft is equal to 152.4 cm. There is a site where you can easily convert ft to cm, just enter the number in the space label ft and hit convert to get the cm button. Click here for the convertor´s site .
- Next of Kin Address: Next of kin contact address which must be a Nigerian address.
- Passport Processing Country, State and Office: And lastly is the place where your passport is being processed. By default the Country you are applying from is already chosen as you have indicated earlier when you started the online process. You only needs to choose the state or embassy from the drop down menu labelled Processing Embassy. The just below click on the box just beside the agreement terms which read (I Accept full responsibility for the information provided in this form) making sure it is tick with the good sign.
After filling out the form as indicated above. You will find two buttons right below PRINT and SUBMIT APPLICATION buttons. Click the print button first and print out a copy of your applications before you now hit the submit application button to submit your application online. Note: after printing out the form you to manually fill in the date you applied and enter your signature in the date and signature space provided below the form respectively.

All you need to log in here is your yahoo or gmail id you are already using. As I guess nearly every body has a yahoo id, so we will be using yahoo id for this tutorial. If you have a gmail you can do like wise there is no different, it is just signing in with you username and password. You now click on the Yahoo button, this will launch the Yahoo login window where you just enter your yahoo username and password and click Sign in. You will be taking to the form page proper. (note. Sometimes at this point before the form page appears you might be asked to filled in more info like address and phone number, as the site is not too stable this is not always the case.)
Then click on Start Application. Which is right underneath this will take you to the Details Page where you will have to login using any of the 3 options provided in the login window, see diagram below. Fig03.
Before we start filling the form note that every label with the little red star symbol immediately after it mean that it´s field is compulsory and the ones without it are optional. See diagram. Fig.04
