After submitting your form you will be directed to payment status page. Here it will read no previous payment history found. This is so because you have not made and confirm your payment. You don’t have anything to do here now, just scroll to the bottom of the page and click proceed to online payment. This will take you to the next page where you will choose payment currencies. If you are in Europe choose dollar, if in Nigeria you can choose Naira and click continue. See diagram below. Fig.05.

Then in the next page, click start payments to go a new page. See diagram below. Fig.06
In this new page make sure you copy or write down your Application ID and your Reference Number on a piece of paper. Don’t forget this because you will still need this numbers to reclaim your payment confirmation receipt. After that click start payments. See diagram below. Fig.07

Copy the numbers in the boxes on the section I highlighted with yellow in the diagram to your left. Don’t fail to do this as it is very important. Because you will definitely need it to confirm your payment.
This will take you to Google check out page. Log in to your gmail account . See diagram below. Fig.08. You can use any email address to make payment, but to the best of my knowledge Google owns gmail and as well control this payment order. It would be easier using Google gmail to make this payment. In case you don’t have a gmail account yet. You can signup for one, it’s free just like yahoo and the process is less than a minute. To signup for a gmail account click here

After logged in. Complete the form to make payment. Email and location spaces are most times filled by default.
Card number: type the whole numbers on your credit card front.
Expiration date: is the date your credit card will be expiring which can be found on your credit card. Indicate the month by choosing from the drop down menu and do the same for the year.
CVC this is the last 3 digits at the back of the credit card, indicate it here.
Cash holder name: this is your name as it appears on the credit card.
Billing address this is your house address.
Postal code: this is the postal code of your house address e.g 28944.
City/ Town: your town or city.
Province: choose your state.
Phone number: your phone number
My shipping address: choose my billing address
Then click on Agreed and Continue this will take you to the page where you will complete your payment. Read through your payment order to confirm your order is correct. Then click on button to complete, make payment or place order. You will automatically receive an email regarding your order. This email is not a payment confirmation email. You will later receive an email that your goods has shipped. This mean your order is completed and your credit card has been charged in respect of your e-passport. This may take up to an hour or even more. So just be patience, don’t make another payment in respect of the same order.
After receiving the email with the message your goods has shipped indicating order complete. You then go back to www.immigration.gov.ng and then click on Query your application payment status this will take you to Query Immigration Online Payments, page. Choose yes in the option you have attempted payment. See diagram below. Fig.09. Then the application ID and reference No. You copied down before, fill them in their appropriate boxes and hit search record this will take you to your payment confirmation receipt page. Print this out.
After printing out the payment confirmation receipt. You then close the window and go back to the homepage www.immigration.gov.ng here you click on passport guarantor form in the next page enter your application ID and reference No in their respective spaces. Then click on Generate guarantor form to open the guarantor form’s page. Print this forms out they are two or three depending on the layout of your Printer. Then immediately book an appointment with the Embassy (only for applicants in Spain). You will book this appointment by sending a simple application email to the Nigerian Embassy in Spain´s email which is nigeriaembassypassport@gmail.com. Please indicate your name, application ID and reference No. as it appears on your payment confirmation receipt, on the application letter. Then you have to wait for some days or weeks for a reply from the Embassy by which a scanning date will be issued to you. Click here to view simple application letter.
Your guarantor will fill the printed guarantor´s forms, sign it and thumbprint. (to know more about the guarantor´s form click here ) He will also include one photo passport with his name and surname written at the back of the passport photograph. A photocopy of his or her resident permit and international Passport is required, along with two of your passport photographs with your name and surname written at the back and a photo copy of your old Nigerian passport and a National population birth certificate. (for those born before 1992 in Nigeria). In case you don’t have the birth certificate the Embassy will issue it to you for a fee of 50 euro. And this is only possible if you already have an old Nigerian Passport. And in case you don’t have an old passport, you will be required to provide a Sworn Affidavit in Court from your state of origin back home in Nigeria for your Age Declaration and National Population Birth Certificate which must be legalized and stamped in Abuja. This your people back home can help you provide.
These, the payment confirmation receipt and the application form are the things you will take along with you to the embassy on your scanning date. There you will be required to pay a scanning fee to undergo your scanning for the New Nigerian Ecowas Passport which is 60 euro. After scanning you will be given a passport collection date, which is probably one week from scanning date.
